You will need academic dress or scholarly dress if you are a student of any type of standard class student. You will also need the scholarly dress for your graduation or after graduation. So you can understand that academic dress is necessary for some fixed purposes. The dress has many parts like the shirts, pants, ties, socks and shoes. You will also need the Graduation gowns, hoods and some other parts for your scholarly dresses. This type of dresses is known as the academic dress or scholarly dress but in United States these are known as the academic regalia.

The Graduation Gowns are the most common dresses for any graduation ceremony because you have wear the traditional academic dresses for your graduation ceremonies and without Graduation gown or hood you can not think about that. In this time the scholarly dresses are made upon the standard of Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

People are used to wear formal dresses in formal situation. If you want to go with your friends in your graduation parties then the dress will be most formal according to your university dress and most of the time people wear Graduation Gowns with separate hood or suit with white formal shirt. The tie is also an important part of your scholarly dress.
